Two academics discuss the pros and cons of using Twitter as a learning tool to encourage instinctive thinking in higher education

I think this is a good debate to carry forward.  We need to think about why we teach the way we teach and whether we now have more facilitative tools at our disposal.  There are pros and cons to every method we use to teach, are the cons of modern technologies any greater than those that went before?  We need to think more about what students might gain from our use of modern technologies.

  1. When I tweet about something that happened in Canadian’s history, I usually hope the reader will want to look it up to learn more about the event … That would be a pro. 🙂
