The blog that Kali mentions in the machinima throws an interesting light on some of these discussions. This blog article , is by Joe Essid a faculty member in Rhetoric & Communication Studies at the University of Richmond. This blog shows that the young aren’t the intrepid adventurers we sometimes like to belive they are. The original article on this blog is interesting but it’s all the comments that really surprised me.
I don’t think I’ve met a whole load of students like the one’s mentioned in the comments – one or two may be but that’s all. And that’s teaching healthcare students – not known for being the most friendly people towards technology. Perhaps these are all American students being talked about in Essid’s blog? Are students in Britain and the rest of Europe like those mentioned in the blog? Have any of you experienced, what is to me, this rather extreme reaction to technology?
